$1 Store Challange take 2

So, you know I can't stop at just one! No, no, not snickers bars....well that too! But I am talking about a "entry" for the $1 Store Challenge over at Living with Lindsay.

So entry two is not necessarily decor for my house, but it is decor....

for Big G's teacher's desk. Teacher appreciation day is coming right up, so I was thinking this would be the perfect chance to come up with something cute for the kiddos teachers.

I went to my local Dollar Tree and picked up

this...

this...

a roll of clear cellophane
and a red bow
and a blue bow.

So I spent my full $5 this time.
I also used paper, my computer and Mod Podge, all of which I had on hand.

When I got home, after the kiddos ransacked me and "stole" all the tootsie rolls... I printed out a copy of their school logo, one about 1 1/2 inch and three at about 1/4". VERY IMPORTANT - Print them on regular paper, this won't work with card stock!!

Then I wrapped the pencils with the small logo.

I mod podged some paper on to the tootsie roll container, again, this doesn't work with card stock!

I placed the three covered pencils, all the blank pencils inside the tootsie toll holder. Then I wrapped it with cellophane, covered it with a bow and ta da...

A great...easy...personalized gift for the kiddos teachers.

I LOVE this idea! I usually decorate a bottle of hand sanitizer, but the dollar store sanitizer smells weird and the good stuff costs $4 a bottle! This is a gorgeous idea!
